Community showcase features
Figalarr’s music promotion
This innovative digital experience was made for @Figalarr as a promotion for his new music. At first, you open the project and see and hear a teaser for music video play. A button appears in the center of the video. This creative use of a button is unlike the digital buttons we are so used to seeing on websites. It’s a car engine button, designed to look exactly like the real thing. Start the engine, and get transported to a page where you can see the release date for the music Figalarr is promoting. Now that the music has been released, you have access to it. When this promotion was in full swing, the buttons showed up with locks and dates. You’d note the date for the next piece of the puzzle: be it the music video, the songs on apple music and spotify, and lastly where you could get tickets to live show when Figalarr went on tour. Pretty nifty, right?
Propsong’s link in bio
Propsong’s has made numerous projects on Hatch, but this one has been standing the test of time. This links page not only serves its function of providing links to Props’ music and tickets. It also has a homepage creative experience for his fans to play around with. By adding his custom imagery and adding the draggable effect to each asset, he made it so that you and I can collage it into new configurations every time we open the page. Something that also stood out about this page was his ability to have two navigation bars that don’t compete with one another. The retro pastel colored folders atop to the monotone social icons worked well together. What a refreshing way to go between Props’ points of presence across the web.
Graceharpsit’s EP release experience
Here’s to another great digital collage! Graceharpsit released a music EP with a delightful experience to go with it. This promotional page was made with assets that anyone can go in and rearrange to their liking. In addition to the collage experience, there’s also a paint element and a warpspeed element in the background. Check out the video below to see it in action. It’s pretty rad! This is such a great way to remind your fans how special your music is from the moment they discover you online to the moment they buy a ticket to your show. What makes this promotion extra special is that when you open it, you hear the sound of Grace’s harp billow from your device. After all, what’s a music promotion without a sample of the actual music?
Samsmh’s art & music portfolio
SamSMH has been on Hatch for a while now, and it’s so refreshing to see them grow as an artist. This portfolio page stands out with its cover image. The cover image serves as an intro that builds up to the viewing of his portfolio. From their use of embedding their spotify music players to their great use of the glow effect on all the panels and assets on the homepage, Sam’s site showcases his artwork and music so well.
Kess’ digital fidget
Kess really leaned into the low code programming capabilities of Hatch. He played around and made this dynamic digital fidget, where you can drag and play around with the colorful balls on the page. This was actually a remix from another interactive on Hatch. Kess really added his own spin to this, and the experience is so mesmerizing. On its own, it’s calming and fun to play with. It’s also remixable itself. This means you can go in and sample it for your homepage. You could add it to the background of your promotional page. It could be a little game at the bottom of your links page. Your imagination is the limit.
