This was a lot of fun to make. It has two things going on. First, an ultra high speed emoji particle system wrapped up inside an HTML component. It can animate tens of thousands of emojis super smoothly without draining your device’s battery. This component can be copy/pasted to any project and customized via its custom properties.
Second, it has a settings panel to control the behavior of the particle system. One neat trick is that it remembers changed settings in the browser URL so custom emoji storms can be shared just by copying the link.
